Beneficiaries
-
Orphaned children - who receive a good education, are well-nourished and have a safe home to call their own.
-
Local people – employed by the school – eg teachers, caretakers, accountants, farmhands, nurses, plumbers.
-
Local people – who use ancillary services at the school, eg health care, counselling.
-
Voluntary services - gain new skills and experiences, sharing of knowledge and personal satisfaction.
-
Donors and sponsors - by being informed that their money is being used productively and in the development of children through education and employment.
These are the key stakeholders in the project.
Values
All aspects of the project are governed by our values:
- Put service users first and offer them dignity, respect and hope
- Work in collaboration with the local community
- Champion new ways to help children grow into adulthood
- Listen to the views of local people, staff, volunteers and service users
- Share knowledge with other schools internationally, nationally and locally
Human Resources
-
Builders, carpenters, drivers, teachers and nurses, pastor or vicar, counsellor, voluntary workers and other support workers, such as cooks, cleaners etc
-
The number of people recruited depends on the number of students and the availability of money. The aim is to recruit within the local community and offer local people jobs. Voluntary services will also be utilised both locally and abroad.
Child Protection And Safety
Ndoro Children’s Charities recognises that children are a vulnerable group and rely on adults to protect them from harm. We will need the strictest, surest mechanisms in place to ensure the children will be given the highest level of care, will have a voice in the school and will be comprehensively protected from any sort of physical or emotional abuse.
