The year is officially underway as we say goodbye to January and enter into the month of love, February. Here at Ndoro CC we’re picking up steam with a host of activities to support the cause we love, the children.
We’re kicking things off this month with something for those who love to keep fit (or those who have made New Year’s resolutions to improve on that); the 24 hour sponsored spin on the 25th. This event is in partnership with The Pedal Studio in Putney. As a refresher, you can have up to 8 people in a team, cycling at whatever speed suits you, refreshments and entertainment will be provided. We appreciate all the support we’ve received thus far and are glad to announce that we now have 6 teams signed up for the event. It’s not too late to be part of it so if you’re interested in getting involved, get in touch with Audrey on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Roseline recently travelled to Zimbabwe where she will be staying till June to facilitate numerous initiatives that are underway. Currently there are several notable developments in Zimbabwe namely: 20 orphans are being sponsored to attend our adopted school in Hwedza; we have begun a feeding scheme for children in Zviyambe and will be commencing the same scheme at Hwedza country club and finally, Barclays Bank Zimbabwe has pledged their support for NdoroCC. We are pleased to see tangible impact on the ground and are thankful for all the support we continue to receive that makes this possible.
In other exciting news Angeline Gavaza a Zimbabwean nurse living in the UK, is independently embarking on a fundraising project for Ndoro CC. She plans to hike Mount Fuji (Japan) in August and donate her sponsorship to the charity! We truly appreciate this gesture and wish her every success in her quest. She just started a blog to chronicle this experience, please visit it and support her http://zabehikingmountfuji.blogspot.com
Finally, on Saturday 29th January, Ndoro CC was announced as a nominee for a Zimbabwe Achievers Award in the Community Organisation of the Year category. We appreciate the recognition. Online voting commences from February 1st on the ZAA website http://mafaro.com/awards/index.php
