Merry Christmas

No matter what language you say it in Christmas is a time symbolic of the good within us. It brings families together and peace among us. At its very core Christmas is about bringing joy to children. The mythical concept of Father Christmas or Santa Claus is associated with bringing gifts to children during the Christmas season. If ever there was a time to be happy – it is Christmas!

Sadly not every child knows what Christmas is nor the joy and warmth it brings. If you do one good thing this Christmas – find a child that needs your help and sponsor them – because every child deserves to be happy. Make it a gift for life and you’ll literally be saving a life!

Read our December Edition – Christmas Newsletter and why not volunteer to go to either Nepal, Zimbabwe or Ghana to work with Children in 2011?

December Diary

November has gone by in the blink of an eye and Roseline has already returned from Zimbabwe in time to host our Annual Twickenham Christmas Bazaar at the United Reformed Church. Despite a poor turnout, the atmosphere was good and we would like to thank all the volunteers who came to help out on the day with tasks ranging from selling cakes to helping out with children’s activities.

We are hoping for better attendance at our other two Christmas events. Following a diary mix up in Vince Cable’s office we were forced to cancel our Annual Christmas Dinner and are instead organising our first ever Christmas Aperitivo. Come and join us for mulled wine and Christmas Carols performed by a special guest musician on Friday 17th of December at 8.30pm at Jalouse. It’s also a great opportunity to buy a raffle ticket and save on Christmas shopping!

This will be followed on Saturday the 18th by our second Christmas Bazaar of the season at Primrose Hill Community Centre. Please come along and see what treasures you can find on the 15 stalls. There will be jewellery stands, handicrafts, florists, Forever Living and music on sale plus much more... We will also be serving food and mulled wine. It promises to be a festive occasion and your support would be much appreciated!

The second edition of our newsletter will be circulated this week. If you would like to be kept informed of all the charity news as well as information about how to get involved and how your donations have already improved the lives of children in Zimbabwe please subscribe and ensure you receive your copy.
