The Month of Love

The year is officially underway as we say goodbye to January and enter into the month of love, February. Here at Ndoro CC we’re picking up steam with a host of activities to support the cause we love, the children.

We’re kicking things off this month with something for those who love to keep fit (or those who have made New Year’s resolutions to improve on that); the 24 hour sponsored spin on the 25th. This event is in partnership with The Pedal Studio in Putney. As a refresher, you can have up to 8 people in a team, cycling at whatever speed suits you, refreshments and entertainment will be provided. We appreciate all the support we’ve received thus far and are glad to announce that we now have 6 teams signed up for the event. It’s not too late to be part of it so if you’re interested in getting involved, get in touch with Audrey on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Roseline recently travelled to Zimbabwe where she will be staying till June to facilitate numerous initiatives that are underway. Currently there are several notable developments in Zimbabwe namely: 20 orphans are being sponsored to attend our adopted school in Hwedza; we have begun a feeding scheme for children in Zviyambe and will be commencing the same scheme at Hwedza country club and finally, Barclays Bank Zimbabwe has pledged their support for NdoroCC. We are pleased to see tangible impact on the ground and are thankful for all the support we continue to receive that makes this possible.

In other exciting news Angeline Gavaza a Zimbabwean nurse living in the UK, is independently embarking on a fundraising project for Ndoro CC. She plans to hike Mount Fuji (Japan) in August and donate her sponsorship to the charity! We truly appreciate this gesture and wish her every success in her quest. She just started a blog to chronicle this experience, please visit it and support her http://zabehikingmountfuji.blogspot.com

Finally, on Saturday 29th January, Ndoro CC was announced as a nominee for a Zimbabwe Achievers Award in the Community Organisation of the Year category. We appreciate the recognition. Online voting commences from February 1st on the ZAA website http://mafaro.com/awards/index.php

Have a wonderful week and if you have any queries, comments or suggestions please get in touch on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

HAPPY 2011 FROM EVERYONE AT NDORO CC!

Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you all had a relaxing Christmas break and are excited about the year ahead. We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your support in 2010 and look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events in 2011.

The year is shaping up to be a very exciting time for Ndoro Children’s Charities. Roseline Ndoro is going back to Zimbabwe this week to support our Project Manager, Lesanne, to set up the Harare office and to receive the first shipment of donated items to the school we have adopted in Hwedza District which will eventually be incorporated into the Zororo Leadership Academy.

Here in the UK, we will soon be launching our Make A Difference Adventure Expedition competition which will give participants the opportunity of going to Zimbabwe to volunteer in the orphanage and experience some of the best the country has to offer for FREE … More details to follow…

It is that time of year when we are probably all regretting our Christmas over-indulgence so why not think about getting fit and doing something for charity? This year, Ndoro CC has bought guaranteed spaces at the following runs:

We are looking for supporters of the charity to raise sponsorship money to run in these events. Please get in touch on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you think you might be interested…

If running is not your thing then we have a 24 hour Sponsored Spin coming up on the 25th of February and are looking for more participants! You can spin in teams of up to 8 people at whatever speed suits you. Entertainment, food and drinks are all provided as well as a relaxation area for when you are not on the bike. We would really appreciate your support so if you are interested, please get in touch with Amy at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Over the Christmas break we have also updated our Sponsor a Child page on the website. Sponsoring a child’s education costs just £10 a month and in return you will receive bi-annual update letters and photos from your sponsored child and the opportunity to send letters, photos and gifts to them. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to call on 0207 609 6775.

We hope you all had a fantastic weekend. If you have any comments/queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
