Ndorocc is officially launched in the Houses of Parliament by the right honourable MP and charity patron Dr Vince Cable.
He had this to say: "I have become a patron of the NdoroCC in order to support an idealistic, but totally practical, initiative by my constituents, Ronald and Roseline Ndoro. It will provide hope and opportunities for disadvantaged children in a country ravaged by bad government and extreme poverty ... Their programme for helping disadvantaged children is well thought through; sufficiently ambitious to offer hope and encouragement; but sufficiently modest in scale to be realistic and practical." to read on click here
The aim of the project is to interact with teenagers aged between 13-18, especially those who are “at risk” or exhibit antisocial behaviour, to educate them about the plight and suffering of other children from far worse backgrounds and to highlight their lives in sharp contrast, through fun and theatre.
The workshop starting in January 2010, will meet once a week for 2 hours over 30 weeks at the Hanley Crouch Youth Centre, a local venue. Throughout the project the teenagers will work with inspirational mentors and an overall director to facilitate the exercises. The final production will be performed at the NdoroCC Annual Gala evening in October 2010Saturday 30th October 2010
